Fourteen renowned brands were named Winners of the SPBA China 2019 at the Award Certificate Granting Ceremony which held at JW Marriott Shanghai, Tomorrow’s Square. The "Leading Brand Award in China Major 10 Industries" are the China Telecom, Ctrip, Gujinggong Liquor - Yearly Yuan-Jiang, Hai Di Lao, HODO, Huawei, ICBC, Tsingtao and Yanlord, "Prestige Brand Award" include 360 Security Technology, BreadTalk, Changyu Group, and Mandarin Travel.
2. The “Prestige Brand Award” is an open category under which brands can participate freely. There are two categories for the Prestige Brand Award, namely, the “China Prestige Brand – Gold Award” and the “Asia Prestige Brand Award”. Each category has a set of criteria to measure brand performance, and qualified brands that have achieved good results in the Chinese market are awarded.
Established in 2002, SPBA is an award jointly organised by the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) and Lianhe Zaobao. Marking its 18th year, the SPBA (“the Award”) has become an esteemed emblem of success that is recognised by the government, businesses, academic institutions and the media. The Award has recognised and honoured more than 450 Singaporean brands that have been effectively developed and managed through various branding initiatives.
This year, SPBA have introduced the Award to the Chinese market in hopes of providing a solid and dynamic platform for recognising brands that have done well in China. By leveraging the prestige of the Award, SPBA hope that brands in both the Chinese and Singapore markets can share relevant market expertise. SPBA also look forward to cementing strong friendships between the business communities in both countries.
