MOPA arranged the exhibition with Consulate of Venezuela in Shanghai (委内瑞拉驻上海总领事馆) and Donghua University (东华大学), officiers of some other Consulate in Shanghai also attended the opening.
As the tradition of small communities along the central coastal region in Venezuela (委内瑞拉), Corpus Christi Festival already have 400 years in history, people have a special way to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, an annual Roman Catholic holiday commemorating the presence of Christ in the Sacrament. Groups of adults, young men and children disguised as masked devils dance backwards in penitence as an official of the Catholic Church carries forth the Blessed Sacrament.
