RIO DE JANEIRO, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's recent trip to Latin America, the second in 13 months, demonstrated the important role Latin America plays in China's overall diplomacy and brought new opportunity to the bilateral ties.
During Xi's trip on July 15-23, he attended the sixth summit of BRICS nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - and a conference with Latin American and Caribbean leaders.
